Movie based on real historical events.

The events of the Revenge of the Forty Seven Ronin took place in feudal Japan at the start of the eighteenth century at the age of the Shoguns and Samurai and have acquired legendary, almost mythical status as the pinacle of Bushido, the samurai code of honour. One important note is that if any samurai were to ever fail or lose his master or betray the code

he becomes Ronin.

The project is based on a script by Chris Morgan and chronicles the famous story of a band of RONIN - ( a Japanese word meaning masterless Samurais)

who go on a quest to avenge the death of their master.

Their feudal lord ASANO was forced to commit ritual suicide..

When their mission was accomplished they did what their honour and the law expected of them: they committed Seppuku and were buried as SAMURAI next to their Master Lord Asano.

KEANU REEVES WILL STAR

IN THE EPIC PERIOD SAMURAI FILM 47 RONIN

So we all can be looking forward to see Keanu Reeves as the lead Samurai HIRO - a half asian, half European peasant of the lowest class, one of the swordsmen. Since he's a "halfbreed", he's considered lowest of the low, but he earnes the respect of the men and fights as one of them...

 

Keanu is currently in training for his role...

 

 47 RONIN WILL BE RELEASED IN THEATERS IN 3D ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21,2012.

 

Universal Pictures has confirmed that commercial director Carl Erik Rinsch ‘s big screen debut 47 Ronin will be produced, shot, and released in 3D. . Great decision! Can't wait to watch the film on the big screen! The film is a priority, large budget project for Universal Pictures. The word from Variety is that Universal's adaptation will be a "stylized version of the story, mixing fantasy elements with gritty battle scenes. Let's see what they will come up with.

 

47 RONIN WARDROBE DESIGNER

Producers have commissioned Nottingham-based fashion designer Daniel Hanson to produce 300 kimonos for the film 47 Ronin. Mr Hanson will be making costumes for 100 monks, 50 samurai, 16 prostitutes and 15 concubines. He said: "The designs will consume us totally from now until April." With this comes expectations and the demand for authenticity. In the film groups of characters will be able to be distinguished by what they wear. Can't wait to see the final product.

Nice to watch all the details come together.

 I think we can expect a big-screen action movie with samurai and ninja and plenty of special effects, but also traditional values of the Japanese samurai warrior: courtesy and courage, sincerity and self-control, honour and loyalty together with the essence of Japanese culture:

such as gentleness and the emotional sentiment- sensitivity in heart

 /I think it's gonna be visible especially in a little romance between Hiro and Lord's daughter, Princess Mika/..

Those are the values I sympathize with...and I hope “non-words expressions” are gonna be used in the film too...I am sure U know what I mean...the tone of the voice, eye movement, posture, hand gestures, facial expressions and the silence which as a nonverbal communication tool can say more than a hundred words- brings the peace.

That's my point of view, my expectations...let's wait for the realization...

The story itself is very interesting with kind of sad hero ending...

In my opinion...it's gonna be strong film.

...and with 3D it's gonna get right under the skin.
